Martin Klenk †

Martin Klenk studied cello at the Music Conservatory of Stuttgart with Prof. Rudolf Gleisner and saxophone with Prof. Bernd Konrad. He later switched to the HdK in Berlin where he finished his degree in Orchestra Performance with Prof. Götz Teutsch. 

His musical focus was initially classical chamber music and contemporary music, and he was a member of the Chamisso-Quartett, Berlin and of the Ensemble für Neue Musik, Stuttgart under Erhard Karkoschka. 

With time, other musical directions grew in importance: He played as a cellist in the Jalousie tango group, and as a saxophonist in several jazz bands. In addition there was his own composing, arranging and stage music, and other projects such as “musica mossa” with the dancer Francesca Patrone.

Unfortunately Martin Klenk died on 30th of April in 2019.
